The youth network lambda takes over sponsorship of Monrose in the CSD Street Festival as of most famous music act of the traditional Street Festival to the Cologne pride, the Christopher Street Day Cologne 2009 in Cologne, Germany, wowed the “Popstars” Trio Monrose on the Saturday, July 05, 2009 the numerous visitors of the main stage on the Hay market. This year the youth network lambda e.V., which was represented as an Association of young homosexual and transgender young people with its own stand at the CSD Street Festival was godfather for the brilliant performance. In this form unique Germany-wide lambda occurs bisexual and transgender people for the social, personal and political interests of young lesbian, gay, in public. The organization supports young people in their process of self discovery and provides support through numerous projects and initiatives, such as E.g. the outpatient clinic in psychosocial emergencies “in & out” in Berlin. In the Centre of the activities of the youth network are therefore the advice by and for young people, camps, weekly youth groups and seminars.

The young lesbians, gays and transgender people is offered the opportunity to the common leisure activities and of self-realization in a discrimination-free space in this way. Promoting and strengthening social skills within the Association are a very positive side effect. That the organizers for the sponsorship of the – pop combo very popular especially among young people on the lambda e.V. youth network was chosen, is therefore more than just a mere coincidence.
