The picture by Antonello da Messina (1430 – 1479) was built in 1475 and located in a museum in Palermo. There, I’ve seen in 1965 for the first time and was impressed by the attractive beauty and charisma of this woman. Now I have encountered in the search for motifs on a DVD re-painting it and wanted to try and paint me as an image. I made a mistake in choosing the right picture support: raise the finest place on the screen (in-built full-size) clamping frame, I have used standard canvas from the roll. (1. and 2nd image). After a charcoal sketch, I just primed the cowl and the background and then with the detail drawing started () 3. and 4th picture. A further refinement by simply banning the bumps, which allow for such a small size is not an exact brush strokes more. The punishment follows on the heels: I have already obtained an image carrier of the same size with Feinstleinen, I prefer that used in the original timber, has been primed the canvas with alabaster in Acrylwei(wasserverdnnt), which is in the right mix an excellent primer and not flakes off.
