But behind that

April 8th, 2010

But behind that appearance is usually a man totally absorbed by an injustice, haunted by ghosts that they are drawn after him by those yellow and dusty roads to the west. As I write this I think of Henry Fonda in The Tin Star (Mann Anthony, 1957), the film where he shares lead roles opposite Anthony Perkins, who plays Ben Owens, a young and inexperienced Sheriff of a town which reaches Morgan Hickman (Henry Fonda) in search of her pay as a reward game. The short stay in the town of Morgan Ben Owens will serve to gain the strength and courage you need to ply their trade. However, Morgan’s presence in the village creates problems among the people, especially among the ruffians. Morgan Meets thus one of the rituals of western travelers: where problems arise arrive or travel problems with them. The fate of the western traveler seems to be the wandering life.
